Perfect emails for bookers: How to stand out
Many musicians struggle with booking. Not because of a lack of quality, but because they don't know how to present themselves. Especially in the music business, where dozens of requests come in every day, it takes more than a good song - it takes connection.
In music coaching I often say: don't write an application, write an invitation. If you're looking for booking tips, start with your language. Who are you as a musician? What do you want to say musically? And how do you want to come across as an artist?
A successful booking email starts personally. No "Dear ladies and gentlemen". Instead: "Hello, I'm a musician from Munich and I'm looking for stages that are in the mood for honest live music."
If you want to present yourself professionally, you don't need a lot of management. You need courage, structure and a good EPK. It should contain everything organizers need: Live video, stage presence, contact information, music promotion, a short text about you.
The clearer you are, the easier it will be for your creative independence to be taken seriously in booking. Especially if you make good use of social media for musicians and show that you are active.
The music business is about people, not just click figures. If you dare to write genuinely, you automatically stand out.
And if you notice that you're still missing the right tone, then get in touch. Together we'll get you out of the waiting game and into action.
Kind regards
