Booking phase: How to reach event organizers now

Fall is the most important time in the music business if you want to get booked. Promoters are now back at work on their calendars and planning the next year. If you want to be noticed as a musician in booking, September is your chance.

Many musicians ask me in music coaching: How do I even write to promoters? How does music promotion work without management? And the honest answer is: You don't need a big team - you need clarity.

Sit down and ask yourself: Where do you really want to play? Which stages suit your music? This is the first step if you want to seriously professionalize your career as a musician.

Then send your presentation by e-mail - but not as a novel, please. Write like a real person. A short, honest introduction. One sentence about your vision. And then your offer: What do you want to play? Where can people find your EPK or your social media?

As creative self-employed people in particular, we often tend to make ourselves smaller than we are. But you can show yourself - not in an artificial way, but genuinely. I have accompanied musicians in Munich, Berlin and the USA who have suddenly received feedback with exactly this kind of approach. Not because they had "more" - but because they communicated in an authentic way.

If you are visible, you will be booked. It doesn't need a perfect email - it needs personality.

Kind regards
