Everyone is changing everything—but what if you start smarter than the rest?

Everyone is getting started. New goals, new plans, new challenges.
And you? You may be wondering whether you now have to do everything "new" too: new strategy, new booking tool, new social media formats.

But what if the key to real growth isn't about turning everything upside down? But rather about making better decisions about what you really focus on?

Because, honestly:
Many musicians make the same mistakes in January:

  • You set ten goals, but don't achieve any of them.

  • You launch five platforms, but you don't build a community.

  • You listen to podcasts, write vision boards, book three coaching sessions, and feel completely empty after three weeks.

I know what that's like. I felt the same way in 2024. I had a big goal and lots of ideas, but no clear focus for my energy. And that's the game changer: it's not how much you do, but where you put your energy.

3 strategies for a smart start to 2026

1. Resource check instead of to-do list marathon
Ask yourself:

  • Which tasks really give you strength?

  • What consumes energy, even though it may be "part of the deal"?

  • Which people or platforms support you, and which ones only distract you?

Instead of doing everything at once, make a conscious choice: less, but better.

2. The focus formula: 1 goal, 3 actions, 30 days
Want to professionalize your music business?
Then set yourself ONE central goal (e.g., secure bookings for summer 2026) and define 3 concrete actions to achieve it—for example:

  • Create and sort booking list

  • Update press kit

  • Write 5 personal emails per week

30 days. No exceptions. No additional projects.
Then decide again.

3. Reset your visibility with clarity instead of stress
You don't need TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and Substack.
You need a platform where you can be visible and a format that suits you.
Ask yourself:

  • Where can I really reach my target audience?

  • What content feels like a conversation rather than a performance?

Maybe it's an honest reel take on your musical journey.
Maybe it's a voice that simply says, "I'm a musician in Munich and I want to grow with you."

2026 doesn't have to be a huge effort.
It can be well thought out, strategic, and still emotionally connected.

Because you're not just someone who does "something with music." You're an artist with heart, structure, and vision.

Kind regards
