Thank you for being here – Christmas in the music business & being a light for others
Christmas.
The world holds its breath for a moment, at least at first glance. While many people are baking cookies or sitting together with their families, some of us are scrolling through booking emails, checking Spotify statistics, or wondering whether it's even worth posting anything between Christmas and New Year's.
I know that feeling. I know what it's like to feel a little "in between" at Christmas. Not completely offline—but not fully present either.
Sometimes it's quietly lonely, even though everything around you is shining brightly.
And that's exactly why I want to take this moment today to tell you something that I perhaps don't express often enough:
Thank you.
Thank you for reading this blog.
Thank you for spending your time with my thoughts, my experiences, and my ideas.
Thank you for being a musician, or an artist, or a creative freelancer—and for deciding to truly follow this path.
Because that's not something to be taken for granted.
Without you, none of this would be possible.
Without you, there would be no "Be Your Own Star."
And without you, I wouldn't be where I am today.
I see you.
Maybe this year was full of first steps for you.
Or maybe you doubted yourself for the hundredth time, wondering if you are "enough," if it's enough, if you are visible.
Maybe you stood on stage and felt, "This is what I live for."
Or maybe you spent hours composing in a quiet room, wondering if anyone out there would feel it.
And I hope that today, on Christmas Day, you feel connected.
With yourself. With your vision. And with people who truly see you.
Because that's exactly what I want my work to be:
A light in the music business. One of those places where it's not about volume, but about depth.
Where structure and soul grow together. Where you don't have to "function," but are allowed to blossom honestly.
So if you feel like everything is too much or too empty today, remember:
You are part of something bigger.
And your music, your creativity, your path... they matter.
From the bottom of my heart: Thank you for your trust. Thank you for your existence. Thank you for your art.
I am looking forward to everything we will achieve together in 2026.
Kind regards
